How to choose skincare for your skin type
Your skin type can change over time — with the season, age, or hormones. Here's what to look for when picking products for each type.
Dry skin
Look for cream textures with ceramides, hyaluronic acid and PDRN. Avoid alcohol-based toners and harsh foams — they make tightness worse.
Oily skin
Light gel textures, BHA to manage pores and sebum, non-comedogenic formulas. Don't skip moisturizer — dehydrated oily skin produces even more sebum.
Combination skin
You can mix and match by zone: lighter textures on the T-zone, richer ones on the cheeks. Centella- and niacinamide-based products work almost universally.
Sensitive skin
Minimal ingredient lists, no fragrance, focus on centella, panthenol and ceramides to strengthen the skin barrier.
Acne-prone skin
BHA and azelaic acid help with pores and inflammation, niacinamide with post-acne marks. Introduce actives one at a time so you don't overload your skin.
